New Customer Onboarding

Goal​

Get a new customer from account access to a usable hosting setup in one session.

Step 1: Access the panel​

  1. Open the Ncell Hosting panel login URL.
  2. Enter username and password.
  3. Complete two-factor verification if prompted.
  4. Confirm the dashboard loads.

If login fails:

  • Use Forgot password.
  • Check whether the account is suspended.
  • Escalate to support if repeated lockout occurs.

Step 2: Verify subscription basics​

Confirm these before setup:

  • Main domain and subscription are visible.
  • Plan limits (disk, bandwidth, mailboxes) are visible.
  • Required features (WordPress, DNS, backups) are enabled for this plan.

Step 3: Add first domain​

  1. Go to Websites & Domains.
  2. Select Add Domain.
  3. Enter the customer domain.
  4. Keep document root as default unless project requires otherwise.
  5. Save.

Step 4: Connect domain​

Pick one method:

Method A: Nameserver update​

  • Update nameservers at registrar to Ncell-provided nameservers.
  • Wait for propagation.

Method B: External DNS update​

  • Keep registrar DNS external.
  • Add required A/AAAA and CNAME records.
  • Verify DNS resolution.

Completion checklist​

  • Login works.
  • Domain exists in panel.
  • DNS points correctly.
  • Customer knows next step (WordPress or upload existing site).
